What it is
A set of n8n workflows that take the weekend’s results for a cricket club from the Play-Cricket API and turn them into the things members expect to see: a short post per team on Facebook and Instagram, and one email a week with every result in it.
How it works
- A scheduled workflow pulls the match results and scorecards for each team from Play-Cricket.
- The results are turned into a draft post per team, with the score, the standout performances and a link to the full scorecard.
- The drafts go to a Telegram chat. Someone at the club replies to approve, edit or drop each one.
- Approved posts are published through the Meta Graph API. The weekly email is assembled from the same data and sent through MailerLite.
Why n8n
The club has one volunteer who looks after this and no appetite for maintaining code. n8n gives them a visual view of each step, a log of every run, and a way to change the wording of a post without opening an editor.
